MJ has always been passionate about food. Growing up in Dominica introduced vibrant, tasty and fresh foods to his palette. Always involved in cooking, tasting and shopping, his desire for food flourished organically. Moving back to London, his parents would often make treats reminding them all of back home, which became a regular family pastime. 

In late 2020, MJ joined an online programme with Ultra Education for young entrepreneurs which helped to birth 'MJ's Treats'. With the guidance from the teachers and funding and support from his parents he was able to launch his business.

MJ's Treats specializes in creating Caribbean inspired homemade treats with fresh, quality ingredients. When he's not whipping up fabulous recipes, he can be found exploring new inspirations to share with you.

In February 2022, MJ became the first ever winner of the West London Business Next Generation Awards:

Under 12 Kidpreneur of the Year.

He went on to achieve the winning award of the same category the following year; 2023 and received a Highly Commended award in 2024.

MJ launched his Diabetic range in August 2022 which has been warmly received in the community and fosters the inclusivity of the brand.

In 2023, MJ successfully debuted his brand at Europe's largest street festival, Notting Hill Carnival returning again in 2024 to much acclaim.

MJ's Treats also provides bespoke catering services from baked sweet and savoury treats to full lunch meals. The brand is supported with a wide range of merchandise including chopping boards, fridge magnets, tumblers, mugs and coasters.
